Systems

A sailboat’s integrity can be measured by the care and thought given to each of its systems. Empty Pocket has a watermaker, solar and wind power generation, batteries with 400 Ah of energy storage, and a propane system with quick connects fo the Magma grill and Princess cook top.

NOTE: All through-hulls are Marelon construction. All plumbing fittings are oversize and hoses are ABYC rated for their application and installation includes dual-clamps on all fittings. All water intakes have non-metallic strainers for easy maintenance. Freshwater flushing of the saltwater pumps and associated plumbing (AC circulation, deckwash, and galley sink) is easily performed by manipulating Y-Valves under the sink. Preserving the watermaker for periods of inactivity is performed at the unit using Y-valves, and the prefilters can be flushed, drained and dried easily.
